Rebecca Muhle earned her medical and graduate degrees from the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her adult psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship training within the Solnit Integrated Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Research Training Program at the Yale University Child Study Center. She recently joined the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University as an Assistant Professor.

Muhle’s scientific research aims to uncover molecular genetic pathways that increase risk for neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, by utilizing high-throughput methods in mouse and human model systems to examine the effects of disruptions of implicated risk genes.

Muhle is a board-certified general and child and adolescent psychiatrist, with a clinical focus on people diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders and related genetic conditions.
