Stephen M. Kanne is the director of the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain and a professor at the Weill Cornell Medicine.

Kanne is a pediatric neuropsychologist with specialized clinical training and experience in working with children with ASD. His research interests have focused on the measurement of ASD symptoms and traits, treatment outcome and measure development. He has been trained to the point of research reliability in the Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (ADI-R) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). He is also an independent trainer for both instruments, allowing him to supervise and train others in the use of these assessment instruments.
