Lilia Iakoucheva is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.

Her laboratory investigates the molecular basis of psychiatric diseases, including autism and schizophrenia, using systems biology approaches in fibroblast-derived and CRISPR-altered induced pluripotent stem cells as well as mouse model systems. The laboratory has a particular focus on uncovering pathways that connect risk genes identified from exome and whole-genome sequencing of these autism and schizophrenia disease cohorts.
