Guo-Li Ming, M.D., Ph.D.

Professor, University of Pennsylvania

SFARI Investigator, SFARI Scientific Review Board Website

Guo-li Ming is a professor of neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Her research is focused on understanding molecular mechanisms underlying normal neurodevelopment and how its dysregulation may contribute to developmental neurological disorders.

Her laboratory is interested in addressing a broad range of topics, from neuronal migration, axon and dendritic development, synapse formation, circuitry integration to plasticity of developing neurons and functional regeneration of mature neurons. Her group uses a combination of experimental approaches that span molecular, genetic, imaging and electrophysiology techniques in genetically modified mice and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines derived from individuals with developmental neurological disorders.
