Initial Measures
Following recruitment, parents completed 9 questionnaires for each of the children. These included Vineland Adaptive Behaviors Scale, Social Responsiveness Scale -2, Repetitive Behaviors Scale – Revised, Sensory Profile -2, Child Sleep Habits Questionnaire, Family Inventory of Sleep Habits, Child Behavior CheckList, Aberrant Behavior Checklist and Medical Update Questionnaire.
Recordings for Children with Autism
Families were sent a package with the three devices, and the child was asked to use them for a period of 2-3 weeks. In parallel with device recordings, a designated parent completed a sleep diary twice a day (morning and evening).
Recordings for Unaffected Siblings
Devices were transferred to the sibling, who used them for a period of 2-3 weeks. In parallel with device recordings, a designated parent completed a sleep diary twice a day (morning and evening).
