Autism BrainNet has begun distributing postmortem brain tissue to qualified investigators working on autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Initially, applications for tissue will be restricted to donations previously collected by the Autism Tissue Program (ATP), which are currently managed by Autism BrainNet.

Distribution of the tissue collected under the auspices of Autism BrainNet is expected to begin in the fall of 2016.

To apply for tissue, investigators should complete the online form located here and upload the required documentation, including a short research abstract and biosketch. Complete applications will be reviewed by Autism BrainNet’s Scientific Review Committee. Authorized investigators will be contacted by a representative of Autism BrainNet to discuss specific tissue needs and plan for tissue shipment.
