Matthew Goodwin will further develop and evaluate software tools for the automated analysis of ambulatory electrodermal activity — a measure of sympathetic nervous system arousal — to accelerate the effective use of such measures in clinical trials research involving individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Sapiro will develop computational and machine-learning tools to allow gaze analysis and its integration with other video-recorded behaviors, from cameras embedded in standard phones/tablets/computers.

Ng and Chukoskie will objectively study movement behaviors and their relationship to physiological states in children with autism using low-cost, flexible movement and heart-rate sensors incorporated in wearable textiles.

Ventola will investigate oxytocin effects on behavioral intervention measures in individuals with autism, assessing neuroimaging, eye tracking and behavioral outcomes.
