Mentor: Nathan Johnston (Frost Lab)
Sophia Flatt is an undergraduate at the University of Utah studying biology, with an emphasis on neurobiology and a minor in chemistry in the Honors College. She has been assisting with research at the Shcheglovitov Lab at the University of Utah and at Echelon Biosciences to gain experience in neuroscience for graduate school. She is also the marketing director for Science in the Parks at the University of Utah and is a college-age mentor for Women Who Succeed. She is especially interested in using organoids and mice as model organisms to study neurodevelopmental conditions, such as autism and intellectual disability.
