Shannon Almeida joined the Simons Foundation in 2025 as the administrative assistant for SFARI and the Neuroscience Collaborations. She has previously worked at Covenant House New York and Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation providing client support to under-resourced communities and leading community outreach initiatives. She holds a B.A. in sociology from Vanguard University and an M.A. in sociology from Brooklyn College.
