Rodrigo Gonzales-Roja

Rodrigo Gonzales-Rojas is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a medical student in Hye Young Lee’s lab at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Gonzales-Rojas holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and biosciences from Rice University. His research focuses on gene editing in mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders. Gonzales-Rojas is the recipient of an Outstanding Poster Presentation – First Place, 2024 and Duncan College Mentor Award, 2022.
