Kai Wang is an associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Wang’s laboratory utilizes computational and bioinformatics methods to identify and prioritize disease-relevant human genetic mutations.

Wang also utilizes bioinformatics approaches to facilitate the integration of electronic health records with genomic information, using this resource to evaluate potential causal disease genes and to optimize prognoses and therapies for affected individuals.
