Mentor: Yu-Ju Chen (Lee Lab)

Benjamin Fletcher (he/they/them) is a rising senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). As a student under the newly established Department of Neuroscience, Developmental and Regenerative Biology, he will be a member of the third class of UTSA students to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience. During their time as a SURFiN fellow, they will be taking courses on animal behavior, the future of neuroscience and behavioral psychology. Benjamin has most recently found interest in language acquisition and multilingualism, spending his spare time practicing Italian, Danish, and Tagalog. At UTSA, they are an active member of an Italian conversational club called La Tavola Italiana.
