Bari Fuchs, Ph.D.

SFARI StaffBari Fuchs joined the foundation in January 2025. As clinical research manager, she contributes to the standardization, quality assurance and public release of SFARI phenotypic datasets, including SPARK, Simons Searchlight, the Autism Inpatient Collection and Autism BrainNet. Her work focuses on making research datasets accessible and transparent for the scientific community.
Prior to joining the foundation, Fuchs was a research data management specialist at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her B.S. in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University and was a postbaccalaureate research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. She completed her Ph.D. in nutritional sciences at Pennsylvania State University, during which she studied pediatric eating behaviors using behavioral phenotyping and neuroimaging methodologies. Her graduate work fostered a strong interest in research data management, open science and making high-quality datasets accessible to accelerate scientific discovery.
