Mentor: Prakash Devaraju (Frost Lab)

Amaya Chikuni is from Mesa, Arizona. She started her undergraduate career studying biology at Northern Arizona University. She later transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU) and switched to neuroscience because of her interest in autism research and working with children with autism. She will be graduating this coming April and plans on applying to physician assistant school shortly thereafter. In addition to her studies, Chikuni also work as a writing tutor and a research assistant in the cognitive development lab at BYU.
