Mentor: Audrey Courreges (D’Mello Lab)

Alishba Silat is an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she is pursuing a double major in psychology and cognitive science. In her school community she serves as a first-year leader, providing valuable support to incoming freshmen as they navigate their college journey. In addition, Alishba volunteers with the Crisis Text Line, offering much-needed assistance to individuals in crisis. In the past, she has worked as a medical scribe in hospital settings and as a pharmacy technician. As a SURFiN fellow, Alishba is excited to collaborate with Anila D’Mello and researchers from the D’Mello Lab. Their collective research efforts will focus on the neurocognitive foundations of language and social cognition across typical and atypical neurodevelopment.
