Shernaz Bamji is a professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her work explores the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying synapse formation and plasticity with a focus on adhesion molecules and palmitoylating enzymes. Prior to establishing her laboratory at UBC, she received her Ph.D. from McGill University in the laboratory of Freda Miller and performed postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco with Louis Reichardt.
