Renato Polimanti is a human geneticist with a focus on psychiatry, human evolution, statistical genetics and computational biology. He investigated different aspects of human genetics: predisposition to complex traits, genotype-phenotype correlation of monogenic disorders and human evolutionary biology. His current research interest is to understand the pathogenic mechanisms of behavioral traits and psychiatric disorders using genome-wide data.
