Simon Xuming Xu joined the Simon’s Foundation in 2018 and serves as a senior engineer of bioinformatics in the Data and Analytics group.

Xu earned his Ph.D. degree in machine learning from Tsinghua University in Beijing. His postdoctoral work was with Nenad Sestan at Yale University. His research interests were gene regulatory mechanisms of brain development, evolution and disorders.
