SPARK

Marti Luby joined the SFARI team in September 2021 as part of the SPARK (Simons Foundation Powering Autism Research) cohort. She serves as the day-to-day coordinator for over a dozen Research Match projects and also serves as a member of the SFARI compliance team. Prior to joining the foundation, Luby worked in several different research environments, including the Multimodal Translational Imaging Lab at Stony Brook University, SPARK Neuro, a computational neuroscience startup, and the behavioral science team at Ogilvy and Mather.

In tandem with her role as a research coordinator with SPARK, Luby is currently earning her M.S in neuroscience from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is interested in studying gross motor function in neurodevelopmental disorders and plans to further indulge this interest by pursuing a Ph.D. in the field following graduation.
