Mahfuza Sabiha joined the Simons Foundation in June 2020 as a research assistant for SPARK (Simons Foundation Powering Autism Research), where she was mainly supporting SPARK’s research match program as well as assisting with other tasks throughout SFARI’s collections and operations team. In June 2021, Sabiha shifted her role to research coordinator, where she is responsible for guiding assigned research studies through the Research Match process as well as tracking collections. Sabiha graduated from Macaulay Honors at Brooklyn College/City University of New York (CUNY), where she pursued an undergraduate degree in psychology with minors in neuroscience and cognitive science. During her undergraduate education, Sabiha assisted in a variety of research studies at CUNY, including teaching social skills to teenagers with autism and testing psychophysiological measures in children.
