As a senior software engineer, Asif Bashar is responsible for the development, optimization and UX/UI enhancement of various SPARK (Simons Powering Autism Research) applications, including Return of Results and Research Match.
Bashar joined the Simons Foundation’s Informatics group in 2017. Before joining the Simons Foundation, he worked as a development team lead and development manager of the digital innovation team at one of the largest Canadian news media companies. Bashar holds a B.S. in computer information systems and a B.S. in computer science from the University of Windsor. He finished his master of liberal arts in information management systems and graduate certificate in cybersecurity from Harvard Extension School.
