Alison Holbrook, Ph.D.

Alison Holbrook is a research psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with children and families enrolled in autism research programs. As part of the SFARI team, she works on phenotypic data collection, data management and analysis for the Simons Searchlight and SPARK (Simons Foundation Powering Autism Research) cohorts.

Before joining the Simons Foundation in 2021, Holbrook completed her postdoctoral work at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, under the mentorship of Catherine Lord. Her previous research focused on early intervention and assessment for individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, and employee engagement and turnover in service providers for people on the autism spectrum. She earned her B.S. in psychology from the University of California, San Diego and her Ph.D. in human development and psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
